The death toll related to the small plane crash in an Orlando suburb on Tuesday morning has risen to five. Two of the dead have been confirmed to be passengers in the plane while the other three have yet to be announced.
En route from Daytona Beach to Lakeland the pilot of the plane had been trying to make an emergency landing after reporting that his cockpit was filling with smoke. While trying to approach the Orlando Sanford International Airport the plane slammed into two houses in a suburban neighborhood in Orlando.
At least three people were injured in one of the homes, one being a 10-year-old boy who suffered severe burns on over 80 percent of his body.
While two of the victims killed have been identified as passengers no reports have been released indicating if the other three dead were on board the plane or if they were residents in the neighborhood.
