NBA No. 1 Pick Greg Oden Out For Summer
After becoming the number one pick in the most hyped draft in recent years, Portland Trail Blazers' Greg Oden is going to be out of commission for the rest of the summer. The former Ohio State Buckeye, who took his team to the NCAA Championship Game, has tonsillitis and will have his tonsils removed, thus keeping him away from the NBA Summer League he was participating in.
According to medical sources, the procedure needs to take place within the next three-to-four days. He plans to go through with it after the taping of ESPN's ESPY Awards in Los Angeles and then he will be in recovery for two weeks.
