STILL TIME TO JOIN THE 12th ANNUAL “WALK ALONG FOR LUPUS”
Pledge envelopes are still available for people who would like
to “Walk Along for Lupus” on Sunday, October 16th, at Eisenhower
Park, Field 6 in East Meadow, rain or shine. Z- 100-radio personality
GREG T will start off the 5-K walk. Festivities include a wonderful
lunch and a fun-filled “family” celebration, including; balloons,
give-a-ways, T-shirts, music, the USA Skateasauras, clowns, magicians
and more.
October is Lupus Awareness month, and the Walk along for Lupus is
the Lupus Alliance’s biggest event of the year. All of the proceeds
from the walk go towards continuing and expanding the many quality of
life programs that the Alliance offers as well towards lupus research.
This year the Lupus Alliance celebrates 50 years of helping the local
lupus community. Why not come on down to Eisenhower Park and help
them celebrate by making this years walk the best ever!! Over 2,000
people are expected to attend, and are hoping to beat last years
total of over $275,000. School Teams are welcome and may be listed
in the Alliance`s end of the year PSA.

funds right online! The Alliance will also be collecting old and used
cell phones and printer and fax cartridges at the walk, as part of their
recycling fundraiser. Look for the collection boxes around the park
and drop them in.
