Sarah Jessica Parker is excited about shooting the “Sex and the City” movie and says she thinks it will really happen this time.
“Sex and the City” was a hit US TV series and ended in 2004. Parker played newspaper columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the series and is excited about playing the role in the film.
“I am hopeful. I believe this time it’s going to happen. I really wanted it to happen a few years ago and it was a bitter pill to swallow that it didn’t,” she told Elle magazine.
She also said that two of the shows main stars, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, were also excited about the movie but the third, Kim Cattrall, was reluctant to agree at first.
“You have to respect other people’s decisions. And one of us didn’t want to do it at the time, meaning Kim Catrall, for reasons that I didn’t ask. It’s not for me to talk anybody into anuthing ever --- creatively, financially or whatever,” Parker added.
Catrall changed her mind about the movie and has agreed to shoot the film. Filming is expected to start shooting in September.
