With a packed crowd for its Hollywood premier on Sunday the buzz surrounding the latest installment of the Harry Potter franchise, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” has reached a fevered pitch as it prepares for its wide scale release on Friday the 13th.
Timing couldn’t be better for the release of the fifth film inspired by the J.K. Rowling books. In two weeks Rowling will begin rolling out the seventh and final book “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows” which will finally reveal the fate of the young sorcerer.
While ‘Order of the Phoenix’ begins rolling out today it will hit just about every theater on Friday in what should become Hollywood’s fifth blockbuster of the summer following the success of “Spider-Man 3,” “Shrek the Third,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” and the recently released “Transformers.”
Rowling’s has sold over 325 million copies of the ‘Harry Potter’ books and the films have become some of the highest grossing films in movie history. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows” has already surpassed records for preorders in many bookstores.
