Compellent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:CML) plunged over 18.50% to $17.73 after it posted an adjusted quarterly profit that missed Street projections, hurt partly by a rise in expenses, The company's fourth-quarter net income was about flat at $1.3 million, or 4 cents a share. Excluding items, the company earned 7 cents per share.Revenue rose 35 percent to $36.3 million. Analysts were xpecting the company to report earnings of 9 cents per share, on revenue of $35.5 million.

Seagate Technology (NASDAQ:STX) fell 2.30% to $18.34 on high volume following the overall market downtrend.

 

EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) slid 1.30% to $16.89. In the past one year, the stock is up over 40%.

 

NetApp Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP) fell 1.50%.
