Eva Longoria can’t have children

Eva Longoria has been banned from having children for at least a year by “Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry.

Longoria wed basketball star Tony Parker in Paris on Saturday. During his wedding speech Cherry told the couple that they can’t have a baby for at least a year because it is not in the script for Longoria’s housewife character, Gabrielle Solis.

Longoria says she is fine with the baby ban because she is looking forward to being alone with her new husband. “We’re fine with that. We want to spend some time with each other, even though we want kids very much.”

The couple was wed in Paris at the Saint Germain l’Auxerrois church in a traditional Roman Catholic wedding.

Longoria wanted to represent her Mexican roots in the ceremony. “We added Mexican traditions, with the lazo and dimes, the bible readings and the lighting of the unity candle,” said reverend Dominic Schubert, who officiated the ceremony.

Red was used as the accent color in the wedding. Red invitations were sent to the guests, they were taken to the ceremony in red buses and even the wedding cake was red.
