Stepson of Rap Pioneer KRS-One Found Dead
The stepson of rap pioneer and hip hop innovator KRS-One, Randy Hubbard Parker, was found dead in his Atlanta apartment over the weekend. He was 23-years-old.
According to the Fulton County Atlanta Medical Center the official cause of death was determined to be suicide from a gunshot wound.
Simone G. Parker, the mother of Randy and wife of KRS-One, released a statement saying her son had suffered from “severe depression.” The family will have a private memorial service for Randy on July 17 in Florida. He would have been 24 on that date.
