Frontier Soups Makes Pledge in Honor of American Heart Month

Frontier Soups, which produces all natural soup mixes, will donate $500 to the American Heart Association as a thank you to customers.

Home cooks can join Frontier Soups, a producer of all natural gourmet soup mixes, for its Have A Heart campaign during February to promote a more heart-healthy diet.

As part of Frontier Soups’ Have a Heart Month, it has pledged $500 to the American Heart Association in recognition of its work to promote healthy eating, according to Trisha Anderson, Frontier Soups’ founder.  In addition, the company, which produces simple-to-prepare gourmet soup mixes, will include a free copy of its white paper on the health benefits of beans, “The Lean of the Bean,” with each order.  “The white paper reviews research that shows the link between eating beans and preventing heart disease and other health issues,” Anderson said.

All Frontier Soups soup mixes, such as its white bean chili and black bean soup, are all natural with no added salt, preservatives or MSG.

During February, Frontier Soups Louisiana Red Bean Gumbo Soup will be on special for $4.95, a 30 percent savings.  The soup mix is filled with red beans, Himalayan red rice, white rice, and red and green peppers.  Home cooks add sausage, diced chicken or duck, fresh or frozen greens and chicken broth.  For those who wish to reduce the amount of meat in their diets, a recipe for a vegetarian version of the gumbo is included.

For other matters of the heart, Frontier Soups’ chocolate soup is on special for Valentine’s Day at $8.95, $1 off the regular price.  The Chai Chocolate Dessert Soup mix can be prepared as a luscious, rich soup with a dollop of whipped cream topped with caramelized sugar crystals or as a dense chocolate cheesecake, Anderson said.

“Nothing makes a person feel more special than when their loved one takes the time to prepare a special meal for them,” Anderson said, “and nothing is more comforting and heart-warming than a nice hot bowl of soup.”
