Goldman Sachs Group’s, Marc Spilker, the co-head of the bank’s fund-management division, will leave the firm after nearly 20 years with the company.
An internal memorandum announced that senior strategy officer Edward Forst would replace the 45-year-old Spilker. Spilker’s decision to leave is the latest in a series of leadership shifts over the past three years, which occurred after Forst briefly left the company to serve as the executive President of Harvard University.
Though Silker will no longer be considered among Goldman Sach’s management team, he won’t be leaving the company entirely. Instead. Spilker will hold the title of “senior director” of Goldman, and will operate in an advisory capacity while not technically working for the company.
