RONA Inc. (TSX: RON) has launched its new “Made in Canada” 2010 Winter Games advertising campaign. The campaign includes 14 television spots, several in-store displays and feature a micro-website. The campaign was created to celebrate RONA’s contribution towards building the 2010 Winter Games and held to build a sense of pride among consumers.

As a national partner, RONA helped to develop a 5-year program to help prepare for the 2010 Winter Games. The involvement included direct support for Canadian athletes, assisting in building over a dozen Olympic venues, help over 60 young disadvantaged young people learn a trade through RONA Vancouver 2010 Fabrication Workshop, and send about 100 RONA employees to Vancouver as delegated volunteers.
RONA is the largest Canadian distributor and retailer of hardware, renovation and gardening products. RONA operates a network of close to 700 corporate, franchise and affiliate stores of various sizes and formats.
