Dallas Mavericks’ Owner Mark Cuban Puts in Application for Chicago Cubs Ownership
Having helped turn the Dallas Mavericks from an NBA laughingstock to a perennial power Mark Cuban may be thinking about doing the same for the Chicago Cubs.
Cuban was among a handful of interested parties that submitted applications to view the Cubs’ financial records before the team is sold at the end of the season. Cuban may be facing a familiar foe in the bidding for the National League Central team as Phoenix Suns CEO Jerry Colangelo is also rumored to be interested in purchasing the Cubs.
The Chicago Cubs have been valued at nearly $600 million but are expected to fetch a higher price when the bidding begins.
