The two lives of Calvin Broadus, aka Snoop Dogg, will be hitting the small screen soon as the 35-year-old gets set to star in his own reality show on E! Entertainment Television later this year.
The producer/rapper has had his run-ins with the law and was most recently sentenced to five years probation and 800 hours of community service after pleading no contest to felony gun and drug charges. Snoop had been arrested at the Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California after police discovered marijuana in his vehicle.
On the other side of the coin, Snoop, a father of three, is a well now advocate for his community and has funded several projects aimed at improving troubled areas. Snoop aligned himself with a more global issue recently when he performed at the Live Earth concert in Germany.
Ted Harbert president and CEO of Comcast Entertainment Group, operators of the E! channel, said “The juggling act that Snoop faces day-in, day-out between career and family is certain to resonate with our viewers.”
