Lindsay Lohan has had her run of bad luck, most by her own doing, but the future may be bright for the newly minted 21-year-old as she walked out of court on Friday none the poorer after the man suing her never showed up.
Lohan was scheduled to face charges surrounding an accident in which she hit a vehicle which in turn hit a business man’s van in Beverly Hills in 2005 but the judge dismissed the case due to the vehicle’s owner, Florian Loeckle, failing to show.
The accident had been investigated by police who determined that Lohan was not at fault because the vehicle that she had struck was making a U-turn directly in front of her.
The “Mean Girls” star has had her share of troubles as of late but a recent stint at the Promises rehab center may have put her on a different path. Criticized by fellow actors for being irresponsible and photographed on numerous occasions in less than flattering poses Lohan has since tried to cleanup her life.
After party plans for her 21st birthday blast in Las Vegas were axed Lohan staged a more sedate affair at a Malibu beach house with family and friends.
