Former ‘View’ co-host Star Jones Reynolds finally talks about leaving “The View”, her feud with Rosie O’Donnell, and her new talk show.
Star left “The View” last June after her contract was not renewed for the tenth season. After her controversial departure from the show, Star faded from the media. Although she was upset that she was not asked to go back on the show, Star tells “Entertainment Tonight” she is glad her contract wasn’t renewed because she had time to find herself.
“There was a time when I was not really happy with me, the person. I think had I been stronger and able to discuss it, I might have been able to take people along on the journey with me. That’s what I’ve spent the last year doing, getting in touch with myself and trying to find that person again.”
Star says her feud with Rosie was not as serious as the media made it out to be. “To be honest with you, I think she’s an extremely interesting personality,” Star says of Rosie.
“I absolutely feel that the media has made much more of an issue of my relationship with Rosie or not having a relationship with Rosie than we ever made,” Star said. “We didn’t talk about it whatsoever. We didn’t even think about it. She went on with her life and her family and I went on with my life and my family.”
Star is preparing for her new talk show that will air on Court TV. She says she would love to have Rosie on the show.
