Gerber baby food recalled due to choking hazard

Baby food company Gerber is recalling packs of organic rice and oatmeal cereal due to the high risk of babies choking on the product. A spokesman for Gerber said the cereal might not dissolve like it should in milk or water causing a “potential choking hazard.”

The products were distributed to stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean. The company said the recall is minor and would not affect the company financially.

The company also said the sale of Gerber to Nestle will proceed as planned.
