Remy Ma pleads not guilty to attempted murder charges
Rapper Remy Ma has pled not guilty to attempted murder charges. The Grammy-nominated rapper was arrested Saturday after police charged her with attempted murder of her long time friend, Makeda Barnes-Joseph.
After police responded to a 911 call reporting a gunshot they found Barnes-Joseph with a gun shot wound to the torso. They believe Makeda and Remy Ma were involved in an altercation after Remy Ma accused Makeda of stealing a $2,000 USD.
Three blocks away from the scene of the shooting, Police found an SUV owned by Remy Ma crashed and abandoned.
Barnes-Joseph was hospitalized and reported in stable condition. A judge granted a $250,000 bail requested by the prosecution.
