Biology Professor Charged with Murder Following Deadly Shootings at University of Alabama in Huntsville

A biology professor at the University of Alabama in Huntsville has been charged with murder following a deadly shooting rampage during a faculty meeting on campus.

According to reports Amy Bishop, a neurobiologist who studied at Harvard University, entered the faculty meeting after learning that she had been denied tenure and opened fire. Bishop killed the head of her department as well as two other professors while three other biology department members were injured in the attack.

Bishop was apprehended outside the science building where the faculty meeting was being held and could face the death penalty if she is convicted.
