Denver Nuggets Sign Veteran Chucky Atkins
After losing free agent point guard Steve Blake to the Portland Trail Blazers the Denver Nuggets signed veteran point guard Chucky Atkins to fill the position.
Atkins averaged 13.2 points and 4.6 assists per game for the Memphis Grizzlies last season and will be looked upon to add chemistry to a lineup that features Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, Nene Hilario and Marcus Camby.
The 5-foot-11 Atkins played a year and a half with Memphis but has spent time with the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards in his eight year career.
