Rosie O’Donnell on “The Apprentice”?, “Never Happen in this Lifetime or Beyond”
Donald Trump may be coming back for another season of NBC’s “The Apprentice” but you can forget about Rosie O’Donnell making any appearance in the boardroom. According to O’Donnell’s spokeswoman Cindi Berger, “It will never happen in this lifetime or beyond.”
After a major ratings drop last season NBC opted to remove the program from its lineup only to have it revived by Ben Silverman, the network’s new entertainment chief. Instead of keeping the same format where Trump would be looking for a new employee Silverman spun the idea of adding celebrities to the mix and the winner of the show would donate the money to a charity.
While Trump and Rosie had a well publicized war of words over the past year that often crossed the line of good taste Silverman revealed that “Donald personally told me to extend an invitation to her.”
Despite Rosie’s less than enthusiastic take on the idea of appearing on “The Apprentice” she is rumored to be in talks with the network about other projects.
