“American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood is set to release her second album on Oct. 23. The country music singer’s debut album “Some Hearts” made her a household name. The multi-platinum album reached number one on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart in 2005 and returned to number one several times over the last two years. Over 1.1 million copies of the album have been sold this year and it has been named the best selling country disc/download of 2007.
Her second album has not been titled as of yet. It was produced by Mark Bright who has worked with other country stars including Sara Evans and Rascal Flatts. Underwood co-wrote several of the songs on her upcoming album.
Underwood admitted to being nervous about the release of her second album because it follows a multi-platinum album. “I think the scariest part is gonna come with album two. I’ve had so much success with ‘Some Hearts.’ I’m not gonna try and top the first one," she said.
