Britney Spears and mom get into “shocking slapfest”
The feud between Britney Spears and her mom Lynne has perhaps gone too far. The ‘Toxic’ singer and her mom reportedly got physical with their problems. In mid-June the mother and daughter reportedly got into a “shocking slapfest.”
Lynne allegedly demanded to take Britney’s two sons out to spend time with them and then began putting Britney’s “mothering skills” down. An insider told Star magazine, “Lynne barged into the house an insisted on taking the kids out to spend some private time with them. She didn’t ask or suggest, she demanded! Then she began denigrating Britney’s mothering skills and losing her temper at the same time!”
Spears reportedly served legal papers against her mom after things got physical. Rumors are Lynne is contemplating a countersuit. Lynne reportedly doesn’t completely blame her daughter though. She believes the troubled pop princess is going through a depression.
The 25-year-old singer entered rehab earlier this year for a drinking problem, shaved her head bald, and is divorcing her husband Kevin Federline. “Despite their problems, Lynne cares deeply for Britney and wants to find a way to help her. She thinks antidepressant drugs may be the answer,” a “friend” said. “Lynne feels Britney has severe depression issues, and they are in large part the cause of her apparent manic behavior and past problems with alcohol.”
