Final Harry Potter book leaks on internet

An unidentified person photographed what is believed to be every page of J.K. Rowling's final Harry Potter book and has uploaded them on a file-sharing site, ThePirateBay.org. Publishers from Bloomsbury are working to confirm whether the leak is real or fake.

In the past other books have been leaked and some have turned out to be fakes. “We are working to verify whether these are yet more fakes. Until we know, we have no comment,” said Minna Fry of Bloomsbury.

A spokeswoman for Scholastic said they are going from “site to site, asking people to take down files.”

Every photographed page is not readable, but most are clear enough that readers can find out what happens in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.” At least one site that uploaded the files tells who dies.

A computer technician in Vancouver first revealed the files after he did an internet search on ‘Deathly Hallows.’ Byron Ng, says he found the files Monday morning on ThePirateBay.org, but he says he is not responsible for taking the photos or posting them.

Ng says he looked for the book to prove that publishers and other artist cannot prevent a leaks.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” will be out in stores Friday at midnight.
