Dave Chappelle Doing Fine After Brief Hospital Stay
Comedian Dave Chappelle is said to be “fine” according to his publicist Carla Sims after the 33-year-old checked into an emergency room on Saturday after suffering from exhaustion.
Chappelle broke an endurance record in April when he performed at the L.A comedy club Laugh Factory for more than six hours.
In 2003 Chappelle starred in his own half-hour comedy show Chappelle’s Show on Comedy Central. While gaining a huge following and massive appeal for the show Chappelle quickly became burnt out and walked away in the middle of the third season. His abrupt exit and subsequent trip to South Africa led many to believe the comedian was struggling with drugs or depression but Chappelle insisted he was there to reflect on his life and career.
