David Beckham gets a TV show

Soccer United Marketing and Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment are collaborating to produce a 30-minute show that follows David Beckham’s first season with the major league soccer team Los Angeles Galaxy.

The former player for the English soccer team Chelsea, recently moved to the United States with his wife Victoria Beckham and their three sons after signing a $250 million contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The show will feature behind the scene footage of Beckham as well as interviews. The first episode will follow his ‘Galaxy’ debut at Saturday’s game between Galaxy and his previous team, Chelsea. The debut may be put on hold after the ankle injury he sustained earlier this month remained swollen and sore.

The show, called “David Beckham’s Soccer USA,” will be hosted by U.K. TV personality Natalie Pinkham. “David Beckham’s Soccer USA” airs worldwide Wednesday July 25 on the Fox Soccer Channel.
