2010 Winter Olympics Results Freestyle Skiing Women’s Moguls: Hannah Kearney Captures Gold for U.S.

Hannah Kearney captured the first gold medal for the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver after winning the women’s moguls in freestyle skiing.

 

Kearney finished with a point total of 26.63, beating out Canadian Jennifer Heil who had been in position to win gold just prior to Kearney’s run.

 

Heil had moved into that position after narrowly edging Shannon Bahrke of the U.S. when she totaled 25.69 points, just ahead of the 25.43 points for the American.
