The latest South Carolina poll by CNN/Opinion Research Corporation shows John McCain remaining strong with 20% of the vote. He may have dropped in the national polls but still continues to do well in the early states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina according to the archived polls at USAElectionPolls.com.
Rudy Giuliani heads the group of Republican candidates with 28% and Fred Thompson doing extremely well with 17% for a strong third place finish.
