Country music singer Mark Collie arrested for DUI

Country music singer Mark Collie was charged with a DUI by Nashville police after he was found slumped over in his car on Thursday. Police found the 51-year-old singer on the Vanderbilt University campus and he smelled like beer and had bloodshot eyes. Collie admitted to police he had been drinking. Police gave him a sobriety test and he failed.

 

Collie was taken to jail but was released on a $1,500 bail. Collie became moderately popular in the 90’s with hits including “Three Words, Two Hearts, One Night” and “Even the Man in the Moon is Cryin’.”

 

He co-wrote songs with Tim McGraw, George Jones, Garth Brooks, and has also appeared in films and on TV.
