Sidney Crosby Will Head to Olympics

Crosby to Go to Olympics

Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins will be going to the Winter Olympic tournament despite having been hit by a hockey puck recently. In the last game before the NHL Olympic break, Crosby blocked a slap shot with what he says was his foot. He appeared to be testing his foot for functionality shortly after the play, but by the end of the game he did not appear to be hindered. At the age of 22, Crosby is the holder of numerous impressive records, including being the youngest player in NHL history to record 100 points in a season, the youngest to be voted to the NHL All-Star Game, and the youngest captain to win the Stanley Cup. He is one of three alternate captains for this Winter Olympics’ Team Canada, which was scheduled to practice today and play against Norway tomorrow.
