Daniel Radcliffe turns 18 on Monday, and he gets access $40 million, but the ‘Harry Potter’ star says he won’t waste his money on sports cars or anything extravagant.
“I don’t plan to be one of those people who, as soon as they turn 18, suddenly buy themselves a massive sports car collection or something similar. I don’t think I’ll be particularly extravagant. The things I like buying are things that cost 10 pounds – books, CD’s, and DVD’s,” he said.
Radcliffe has played Harry Potter in all of the 5 movies so far and will play in the last two. All money he earned from filming was put into a trust fund that he couldn’t touch until he was 18.

Radcliffe won’t reveal details about how he plans to celebrate his 18 birthday but he does say, “I’ll definitely have some sort of party. Hopefully none of you will be reading about it.”
