Lil Wayne and Ja Rule arrested for criminal possession of weapons
Lil Wayne and Ja Rule were both arrested after a concert on Sunday, but each on separate incidents.
At 10:37 p.m. Police officers pulled over a speeding car with Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeff Atkins, and two others inside. Police found a .40 caliber pistol in the car. Almost an hour later. Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, was caught smoking marijuana and arrested. Police also found a .40 caliber pistol on him.
The rap artists’ were charged separately with criminal possessions of weapons. They pair sings the new rap song “Uh Oh.”
