Beginning at Touchstone On Lake Muskoka's Discovery Centre on a gorgeous sunny day, contestants were sent off around Lake Muskoka in search of clues leading them towards the grand prize: a free weekend at The Windermere House Resort Hotel. The mystery stops, chosen to represent the interesting and various areas of the Muskokas included such notable locales as Cranberry Marsh, Grace & Speed Muskoka Boat & Heritage Centre, and Santa’s Village. While all the contestants competed with much vim and vigour, the winning team of Mr. & Mrs. Whiteley completed the loop in what is now the “course standard” of 2 hr.25 min. The race concluded with all the happy contestants being treated to a celebratory barbecue near the banks of Lake Muskoka and all vowing to take home the top prize in next year’s version of the Amazing Race.
