Schindler Elevator Corporation has announced that it has been awarded a contract valued at $40.8 million by Los Angeles World Airports. The contract calls for the installation of 60 escalators and four moving walkways at the Los Angeles International Airport. The contract also required the modernization of six existing hydraulic elevators. It is all part of the airport’s continuing efforts to replace 285 elevators, escalators and moving walkways with efficient equipment with newer technology.
