The comedy "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", starring Kevin James, Adam Sandler and Jessica Biel, took the top spot in the box office on its first weekend with $34.2 million. "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" was a close second this past weekend with $32.5 million, giving it a total of $207.5 million domestically and $558.8 million worldwide.
"Hairspray" opened this weekend with $27.5 million with "Transformers" on its heels with $20.5 million, raising its total to $263 million and $457 million worldwide.
