Melanie Brown says she and Eddie Murphy planned pregnancy
Melanie Brown says that she and Eddie Murphy planned to have a baby and get married after the child was born. “This was a completely planned pregnancy,” Brown revealed. “This wasn’t some random, ‘Oops I fell over and I’m pregnant.’ I don’t live my life like that.”
Brown added, “As soon as I had my IUD removed we proceeded to get pregnant. It happened quicker than we expected but it was perfect timing.”
“Scary Spice” Brown gave birth to the baby on April 3. Murphy claimed that he didn’t know if the baby was his or not saying, “I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test.” Brown said when she seen him say that on a TV clip, her “heart dropped."
Brown took legal action to get Murphy to take a DNA test in June. The test proved that Murphy was the father of the child.
Brown says that although she was upset after the breakup she thinks now it might not have worked out anyway. “There were certain things that went on in his house with his lifestyle that I wasn’t prepared to be apart of. I have a baby with this guy so I have to be somewhat respectful. I’ll simply say that there were lifestyle changes that he would have to make if we were going to live together and do it properly,” Brown says.
Reps for Murphy refuse to comment.
