Tyreke Evans won an MVP title last Friday for helping the Rookie team win the NBA Rookie Challenge Game, which pitted some of the NBA’s best rookies and sophomores against one another. Evans scored 26 points, had 6 rebounds, and made 5 steals to help secure an impressive 140-128 victory againts a Sophomore team that included Michael Beasley and Russell Westbrook. Playing alongside Evans was DeJuan Blair, who made a record-setting 23 rebounds. The Rookies had not defeated the Sophomores since 2002. Tyreke Evans, who plays for the Sacramento Kings, is a 2-time Western Conference T-Mobile Rookie of the Month and a 2008 McDonald's All-American Game MVP.
