The Portland Trail Blazers took a big step on Tuesday in filling their need for a center after landing Marcus Camby in a deal that sent guard Steve Blake and small forward Travis Outlaw to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Portland has been looking to solve their issue at center since Greg Oden and Joel Przybilla went down with season-ending injuries.
Camby will provide a solid defensive presence in the middle for the Trail Blazers. The former defensive player of the year is currently second in the NBA in rebounds at 12.1 and ranks sixth in blocks with 1.94 per game.
