ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked readers to participate in a new survey by answering the question, "Would you purchase digital equipment such as a camera?" The majority of participants seem to already own a digital camera and many conveyed that they enjoy using one. Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet says, "New technology can bring blessings into our lives and many are finding that owning a digital camera adds to quality of life." Some people purchase them so they can rekindle precious memories and reminiscence with loved ones and friends. (http://www.christianet.com/digitalequipment/)
Out of 243 participants, 156 answered "yes" to the survey question. Readers enjoy many aspects of owning digital equipment. Some of those aspects include the convenience of being able to view pictures immediately, the convenience of storing pictures and the convenience of being able to share pictures with other family members. Some readers feel that digital pictures are clearer and easily duplicated. One Believer likes the idea of never having to buy film or worry about taking the film for development. There is no worry about overexposed film or being charged for pictures that turn out bad.
Fifty-nine readers answered "no" to the survey question. Some of the participants in this group admitted to being frugal and even feel like it is a waste of money to buy digital equipment. "No, I think it would be a waste of money, because in the end you still have to print the pictures", says one participant. Others don't seem interested, don't have the money to indulge, or don't purchase them because someone else has purchased one for them.
Twenty-eight people were unsure about the survey question. Many in this group are unsure about purchasing a digital camera especially if it is an online purchase. Some are concerned about return policies and customer service. Others think they are just too expensive to buy. It is interesting to note however, that with increasing technology and new products surfacing, prices do go down on older models as soon as new ones emerge. One Believer wrote, "Yep...Digital is going to be the absolute replacement for things. It is progress so we have to deal with it." For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/articles/
