Country singer Mindy McCready arrested again

Country music singer Mindy McCready was arrested Wednesday after she violated her probation. Police arrested McCready at the Nashville International Airport after they said she violated her probation by not telling them she was arrested in Florida.

McCready was charged with battery and resisting arrest after her mother called police and claimed her daughter attacked her by scratching her face. When police arrived they tackled McCready to the ground and hand cuffed her. McCready says that she was holding her baby in her arms when they tackled her and claims police brutality.

“I was holding my baby at the time. They tackled me. They didn’t give any directions. They just tackled. There was no reason for it. To take down a woman holding a baby, it’s just not right,” McCready claimed. Police say that the baby was taken from McCready before they wrestled her to the ground. McCready had to be subdued in the prison with pepper spray.

McCready had been drinking at the time of her arrest. The “Guys Do It All the Time” singer had past problems with the law. In 2004 she was placed on three years probation after she pleaded guilty to fraudulently getting OxyContin from a drug store. Last year she was found guilty of a DUI and driving with a suspended license.
