ChristiaNet.com (http://www.christianet.com), the world's largest Christian portal with twelve million monthly page loads, asked participants in a recent survey, "Are we in the End Times?" According to Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet, "Most Christians today are interested and concerned about end time events." The majority of readers define the End Times as the time leading up to and including when the Anti-Christ enters the stage of history. Before the Anti-Christ is revealed, certain signs must be fulfilled indicating the time is near. Some of these signs include wars, nations against nations, earthquakes and famines. One participant said, "All the signs given in the Bible are here with us. Bible prophecy is being revealed daily."
Out of 233 people surveyed, 187 responded "yes" to the question. With the growing tensions in the Middle East, intense weather conditions, increasing crime and the removal of God from everyday life, Christians are very concerned about the times in which we live. One Believer stated, "With the acceptance of sins as a normal everyday thing, I think we are nearer than ever to the End Times." Yet, many Christians are excited about the End Times because it signals the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. At the Second Coming of Jesus, Christians receive their resurrection bodies and live forever in eternity with God. As an excited Believer shouted, "Jesus is coming!"
Twenty participants responded "no" to the question. This group of readers believes things don't begin until the "Great Tribulation" starts. The tribulation is an extreme time of troubles that have never been seen from the beginning of time. Because of increasing evil in the world, these readers believe the end time is near. One reader said, "We are at the time before the end. Due to the lax in moral values and people being lovers of themselves and money."
Twenty-six readers seem to be unsure about the end times. Most felt that no one knows but God. But if things continue to get worse, the end of the world is inevitable. One participant said, "I believe that God has a plan for all of us and He will take care of us no matter what!" Whatever the thoughts are on future events most mature Christians place their faith in God and don't worry about tomorrow. For more information, visit: http://www.christianet.com/bible/
