Newlyweds Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell want to have a baby

Newlyweds Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell have only been married a short time but the couple already say they want kids.

“We definitely want to have kids. Hopefully, they will take after their mother,” O’Connell said.

The couple was married on July 14 in front of 100 family and friends. The wedding was held at their L.A. home. The newlyweds were not able to go on a honeymoon because the “Ugly Betty” actress had to be on set the Monday after the wedding. They did visit Ojai for a day.

“I was a little nervous before my wedding. I wasn’t ready-to-bolt-nervous, but for anybody else who has been married, you get nervous right before you do it. I tell you, Fred Goss had some really good words for me right before I got married. He said, ‘Don’t be worried about the decision. Don’t be worried about the day,” O’Connell said. “I do want to admit though – and you can make fun of me all you want – but I got a little depressed after, because the party was over. I wanted everybody to come back and do the party again.”

This will be O’Connell’s first marriage and Romijn’s second.
