Calvin Johnson, the No. 2 pick of the 2007 NFL Draft, was kept out of the first day of training camp, because he remains unsigned.
Johnson, rated the best wide receiver in this year's draft and one of the best in recent years, has not yet come to a conclusion with the Detroit Lions over his contract. With the hype surrounding Johnson and anticipation for him to hit the field, this is a definite delay in the plans.
He is the only rookie contract with the Lions that has not been settled.
