Shakira Learns from Paul McCartney Divorce, Wants Pre-nup before Sept. Wedding
Paul McCartney and his Beatles band mates hit #1 with the song “Can’t Buy Me Love” but he quickly found out love can certainly cost a lot of money, a prospect Latin singer Shakira isn’t willing to go through.
It seems the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer may be weary that future husband, Argentine lawyer Antonio de la Rua, might not carry the same honesty so she has opted to draw up a prenuptial agreement.
According to the New York Post, a source close to Shakira said “When you're very much in love, you have plenty of people giving you advice, and none of them wants to see what happened to Paul McCartney happen to her.”
The pre-nup would assure Shakira that de la Rua wouldn’t lay claim to her fortune if the pair divorced. They have a wedding planned in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic this September.
