Investors are forecasting a bounce back in earnings after witnessing a rise in the markets. Further reports will provide more information regarding the awaited rebound. Overseas markets rose Wednesday following optimistic earnings in Europe from companies including French Bank, BNP, and Paribas. The Commerce Department says construction of new homes and apartments bumped up to a higher level than expected in January. Housing rose to an annual rate of 591,000.

Dow Jones industrial average futures are up 37, or 0.4 percent, at 10,278. Standard & Poor's 500 index futures is up 5.30, or 0.5 percent, at 1,098.50, while Nasdaq 100 index futures is up 7.50, or 0.4 percent, at 1,806.75.
