Soccer star David Beckham has admitted he is scared of the paparazzi. He and ‘Spice Girls’ wife Victoria Beckham recently moved to the United States with their three sons, and David says he’s concerned at the amount of paparazzi that follows he and his family every where.
The Beckham’s moved to Los Angeles after David signed a contract to play for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. He received widespread recognition at his brief debut game against Chelsea.
“It was great, the crowd were cheering my every move on the sideline. For one player to get that kind of reception is unusual, but pretty amazing,” he said.
The Beckham’s have tightened their security since moving to the states. They reportedly have a team consisting of former CIA agents protecting them 24 hours a day.
“It’s defiantly over the top here in Los Angeles,” Beckham comments on the paparazzi. “The other night we had 47. No joke. I get nervous. They run red lights and you’re just waiting for accidents to happen.”
