‘The Simpson’s Movie’ takes No.1 at box office

‘The Simpson’s Movie’ took the number on spot at the box office this weekend, taking in more than $71.9 million. The Simpson’s beat ‘Transformers,’ ‘Ratatouille’ and ‘Ghost Riders’ with the fifth best opening this year.

‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry’ came in second with $19.1 million followed by ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix’ raking in $17.1 million. ‘Hairspray’ came in fourth, and ‘No Reservations’ came in fifth. Lindsay Lohan’s new movie ‘I Know Who Killed Me’ debuted in ninth place.
