Nicole Richie to go “bare minimum” in jail
Nicole Richie was sentenced to serve 96 hours in jail after she pleaded guilty to a DUI charge. The socialite, who is rumored to be pregnant, entered court on the arm of boyfriend Joel Madden. She stood quietly as the judge sentenced her to jail time. Jail will be anything but glamorous for Richie. She can wear most of her own cloths while serving her time, but items such as high heels, underwire bras, shoelaces, and belts are not allowed.
“She’s not gonna be coming in here wearing and miniskirt and pumps,” said police Sgt. Thor Merich. “We pretty much go bare minimum.”
Richie was given a choice of serving time in a city or county jail. Prosecutors say she will serve her time in a city jail.
Richie is rumored to be pregnant with Joel Madden’s baby but has yet to confirm of deny the speculation. She is set to tell all in an interview with Diane Sawyer. The interview will be aired August 2 and 3.
