Paris Hilton to sing opera

Paris Hilton landed a role in a big-screen musical. She will sing and act along side Alexa Vega and Paul Sorvino in the musical thriller, Repo! The Genetic Opera. Repo! is set in 2056 and tells the story of a plague that threatens to wipe out the whole human race.

Director Darren Larry Bousman, known for directing all three Saw films, said “I have auditioned at least 30 actresses for this role. Paris came in and owned it. She is this role.” The hotel heiress is said to have “sang it better than all of them.”

Meanwhile, Hilton put her Hollywood Hills home for sale. She is asking $4.25 million for the house she bought for $3 million in 2004. Hilton’s aunt, Kyle Richards, said Hilton put the house on the market because she wants more space, a larger house, a gated community and long driveway.
