Angelina Jolie and Fran Drescher fight cancer together

Actress Angelina Jolie and Fran Drescher have joined forces to fight cancer. Jolie, who recently lost her mother to ovarian cancer, is teaming up with Drescher, who survived uterine cancer, to work with a women’s health charity called Cancer Schmancer.

“Her mother had ovarian cancer and did not win her battle, so she is going to lock elbows with me and we are going to do some things together. We will do a PSA and maybe go to Washington. We are dedicated to ensure that all women’s cancers get diagnosed in Stage 1 by galvanizing and educating, then we can change policy by signing petitions,” Drescher said.

Drescher beat cancer seven years ago and says that being positive during the tough times is a key ingredient to survival. “Don’t mix imagination with fear- it’s a deadly cocktail,” she says.
