Stocks briefly spruce gains on Wednesday following the release of minutes from the Federal Reserve's recent policy-setting meeting. The minutes showed The Federal Reserve Officials expecting the U.S. recovery to continue but saw a sluggish raise in employment development.

The Dow Jones industrial average (DJI:DJI) was up 15.72 points, or 0.15 percent, at 10,284.53. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index (SPX) was up 1.88 points, or 0.17 percent, at 1,096.75. The Nasdaq Composite Index (Nasdaq:IXIC) was up 5.88 points, or 0.27 percent, at 2,220.07.
